08 Aug Food Truck Fest
Vancouver is such a beautiful City of Glass! Will and I dropped by the Food Truck Festival – in which top food carts are gathering in Vancouver Olympic Village every Sunday from now until end of summer. It was unbelievably hot that day so I tried to stay under shade but there’s nowhere I could hide myself. I wish they have more seating areas because we almost couldn’t find a place to eat.
Will wanted to try something new so we opted for Aussie Pie Guy. I picked the chicken pie with white wine cream sauce $8. Crust was flaky, chicken meat was juicy and seasoned just right (I’m not keen on heavy seasonings). It’s very tasty indeed.
As usual I was drawn to these cute retro looking food carts.
Again thank you for reading and I hope you find this Food Truck Fest can be an alternative to regular Sunday Brunch or dim sum. You may check their website for participating food carts. If you have been there already, please share what’s your favourite food cart and why.
There’s a $2 admission fee per person. It’s free when you bring a food bank donation or if you are Car2Go or Vancity member. Oh and don’t forget to put on sunscreen and sunnies!
