05 Oct London: Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
One of the highlights of this trip is to meet up with my dear blog friends Doris & James. I can’t believe it took me 6 years to finally meet them in person. They are not just my good friends but also my inspirations. I was connected to Doris back then from my wedding blog and I admire her impeccable taste and knowledge in design and architecture. We were invited by them to join the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at the Sanderson Hotel.
Tumble down the rabbit hole
Everything was inspired from Alice in the Wonderland : menus found inside vintage books, tea leaves contained in mini potion bottles, cute looking teapots decorated with kings and queens and whimsical desserts such as the strawberries & cream marshmallow mushrooms, chocolate tea cup with green tea mousse, tick tock opera cakes, drink me passion fruit flavoured potion and also a nice finish with delicious fruit jellies presented on a fancy cake trolley.
Such a fantastic time with great conversations and I simply find blogging is quite magical for bringing people around the world with common interests together on a platform. We were planning to meet again in Paris! Hooray!
If you want something more fun and not so traditional style, I would recommend you to give this afternoon tea a try! Remember to reserve weeks in advance as it’s very popular for locals as well.
This almost marked the end of our London trip. We were so blessed with the history, vibe and experience that London brought to us. There were too many beautiful things that I have yet to discover and we shall return to London in real soon. Let me wrap up the travelogue with last bits and glimpses of London.
Stay tuned for the next travelogue in Barcelona.
