You know how frustrated sometimes when you check out your online shopping cart only to find out that they don’t ship to Canada or not even ship to PO address or accept Canadian credit cards. It’s hard to believe US is our country’s neighbour and online shopping can be challenging in 2017! I stumble upon The Luxe Link which is an online personal shopping assistant to help clients sourcing items at US retailers and deliver right to the door. It’s my first time hiring a personal shopper to look for an item sold out almost everywhere – Gucci Marmont Card Case.
The process begins with filling out a request form on their website. If you already know which exact retailer you want to purchase from, you can provide the direct link to them or just list out the model number or upload a picture, their luxury specialists will look into your request and start sourcing the item for you. The Luxe Link‘s headquarter is located in New York City, which gives them proximity to lots of hard to find and presell items. Their specialist will contact you when they receive the request within hours. When the item is sourced, they will email you a summary of the item retail price, sales tax, delivery costs and their 10% service charge on top. The invoice is clear and simple to follow and no matter if you just want to purchase a pair of Nike runners or a Hermes handbag, it’s still going to be 10% service charge.
I like the idea they manage the transaction for you, remove all the obstacles at check out and make the entire shopping experience much more simple. For Canadian shoppers, we are all aware of paying custom and duty. This service would not prepay the custom up front for you, their chosen courier Fedex will notify customers about the duty upon delivery. The whole transaction from sending them my request to order a card case to the parcel delivered to my door is about 1 week.
Regardless of the service charge and possible duty in place, I think it’s worth the value when you get to experience the personal shopping just fingertips away and have the professional shoppers to look for something you can’t get your hands on easily. They do not only help customers on luxury items but also sold out concert tickets or sporting events too!
The service is available to Worldwide Customers and I would like to invite my readers to enjoy the same shopping experience I had also. You can now enjoy a $50 USD credits (towards a minimum $200 USD purchase) with The Luxe Link by using code WISTERIA until August 31, 2017.
I would love to hear what are some of the wish list items and please leave me a comment below.
