23 Sep Weekend in Portland

Portland Oregon is more than just a city with no sales tax and I definitely ask you don’t focus all your energy on retail therapy in the outlet and lining up for Vodoo Donuts. There’s so much more about Portland that’s worth spending your weekend. Spend a morning checking out Ace Hotel, grab a Stumptown cold crew coffee and do hipsters watching! Browsing boutique shops in the Union Way alley (Steven Alan and Will leather goods!) and Pearl District (Oblation Papers & Press). Of course how can you forget food scene in Portland, there are always some food trucks around the block. Yup, they occupy a whole block in downtown. We had tried the Nong’s Khao Man Gai’s chicken rice, but sorry I’m not sure where did the hype come from. You can find 10x better Hainanese chicken here in Vancouver. For Kombucha’s lovers, you won’t believe there’s fresh brew Kombucha on tap and it tastes amazing to0.20140921 -portland0420140921 -portland03Delicious brunch in Clyde Common – french toast with nutella & banana 20140921 -portland0720140921 -portland1020140921 -portland09lovely selection of letterpress cards from Oblation.20140921 -portland0620140921 -portland1420140921 -portland15Huge Himalaya salt blocks from the Meadow that you can use as serving boards.
