04 Jan Holiday Hangover Sale

Happy 2015! How’s everyone and do you have any resolutions for the coming year? I would love to hear about them. To kick off beginning of a new year and beat post-holiday blues, I have been wearing new bags, shoes and accessories. Okay, I know that’s not really something meaningful to be resolute, but in case you want to take advantage of the ongoing boxing week sales, I have rounded up my best finds and they are still available to purchase. Good luck to find your treasure in the clearance sales! Holiday season is over, but sales season is not!

1. Stuart Weitzman Over-the-Knee Boots ($297)
They are super comfortable and stylish, I regret that I didn’t jump on the OTK boots bandwagon sooner. Made with super soft suede and much easier than I thought for pulling on and off. I got the Slate suede for $297 ($327 – $30 mail subscription coupon). OTK boots from Stuart Weitzman are over $600 retail. I would love to give you a comparison between different OTK models from Weitzman later on.  To get the perfect pair of OTK boots, make sure you try it on to see if the shafts fall on the right place. Stuart Weitzman have many different OTK models but the shafts are in different heights. This pair will be perfect for petite girls (< 5″4) as the shafts are only 19″ and they would just cover your knees. I would recommend you to get Semi (50% off now $325) if you have long legs (shafts are 22″). I would love to show you the modelling pictures later so you can compare with other popular models such as 50/50, Reserve and Demiswoon.

2. Proenza Schouler Large Lunch Bag (C$292)
Yes, it’s not typo..a retail ($900+) PS clutch is less than $300 only. I’m over the moon when I snatch this deal at the Room in the Hudson Bay downtown Vancouver. I don’t think I need to say anything on top but you simply google and find it easily appeared on celebrities on red carpet. It’s made in Italy with buttery leather. The Room at the Bay (both Toronto and Vancouver locations) have other PS bags and clutches on sale for 60% off. Don’t forget to check out the +30% off  3.1 Phillip Lim Pashlis , I have seen both mini and medium size Pashli sachels in different colours and they all look gorgeous.

3. Rag & Bone/JEAN the DRE Boyfriend Skinny Jeans (C$125)
Great staple piece for almost half off from TNA Metrotown. You may find them in local Aritzia and TNA stores. I have found TNA is selling the same pair for $25 less than Aritzia!!!  The style is not a typical boyfriend jeans cut, it’s less slouchy and more fitted yet still gives a very relaxed look. I can tell why it’s so popular and also check out the positive reviews on Shopbop ($198). Bradford wash I got is amazing and you can find different washes in Aritizia or TNA.

4. Gorjana & Griffin (30% -60% off)
Save the hassle and duty fee to purchase from Canadian retailers, Blue Ruby is continuing the boxing week sale and I purchased this lovely Fatima wrap necklace for C$84 (org C$120). The Mika Lariat necklace from my previous post is also on sale for 30% off. The best deal is from the GG official website, they are all 60% off right now with code HANGOVER60, the Fatima necklace is only $44 !!!!

For other local deals in Vancouver, I have seen quite a few styles (including BB pumps) from Manolo Blahnik on sale for C$350~(org $650+) in Browns Shoes Pacific Centre. Nine West is also offering everything on sale for extra 50% off, many great pairs are only C$50~!!! You have to check it out if you are looking for some great work shoes. Spotted some nice Helmut Lang blouses C$43 (org $300) and Equipment blouses C$100 (org $200+) from Winners.  Good luck to find a nice silk blouse for a fraction of the retail price.
