Relaxing weekend to hang out with girl friends and attend a food styling workshop together with my buddy. The workshop is hosted by Juno Kim, a very talented local chef and food stylist. He’s the chef of the Kinfolk dinner party in Vancouver. O.M.G…is there one day I’ll be ever invited to the party? Needless to say why I’m being drawn to his aesthetics and creative act of cooking.

The workshop is about 2.5 hour long. No cooking involved and no experience required. You’ll get to learn basic principles on how to refine your plating skills and frame your #foodstagram photos.

Know a few new friends, learn some new food styling techniques and have lots of fun. If you would like to join his classes, count me in! I’m ready for his next workshop. The whole process to arrange and plate the ingredients together nicely is very meditating. Everyone creates their very own, very different and very personal dish. I’m going to name my creative dish as Koi, as Will associates my photos immediately to a fish. “It does look like a fish!!!” he said. Ok I know it’s very conceptual but can you imagine there’s a Koi fish swimming?

Well if this isn’t the prettiest piece of food ever! That sounds like such a fun thing to do with friends 🙂

Yes indeed!! And even if you can’t find anyone to go with you, it’s good to know some new friends with common interest also!
