05 May Top 5 Spring Shoes Picks + GIVEAWAY
Hello Fellow Friends!! It’s been a while I haven’t posted a style blog. If you have followed me on Instagram, you probably know my style is all about Girly, Cozy, Chic and feminine combined with comfort.
When it comes to shoes, I’m always looking for styles that not only look chic but have to make my feet happy. I strongly believe I look more beautiful and confident to wear things that I’m comfortable with.
Being comfortable is not only about shoes fitting but also the price tag. As nowadays top designer brands can easily cost $1000+ for a pair of shoes, makes me start searching what other options out there, how about their second line, usually more affordable yet still maintaining the signature design in details.
Lately I have picked up a few pairs of new shoes from my neighbourhood store Townshoes as they start carrying more contemporary designer brands this season, offering a great solution for those who are searching approachable designer options. Let me share what I think are Spring/Summer must haves, “what I love” and “why” with you.
Statement Sandals – these staples have to be in your shoes wardrobe and this season I just love the See By Chloé collection. This is their sister line from Chloé but they still manage to keep the fundamentals from the main line, with at least half off the price. This pair specifically I love because of the statement buckle straps and stitching details, adding so much boho chicness to a simple outfit but not too overwhelming.
Another great option with statement details will be these dress sandals from Rebecca Minkoff.
Block Heels – classic spring staples that can transition from spring to summer, and as you may go outdoor more often in warmer months, I much prefer block heels over stilettos, style that’s way more comfortable to walk with. The Jil Sander Navy version is made with buttery leather, white minimal look, classic silhouette but edgy with silver details! Absolutely worth the investment because you can wear these for multiple seasons!
Booties – Transitional from winter to spring, instead of wearing with winter clothes and they actually look very cute with summer dresses to create festive looks (imagine Coachella). I picked up this pair also from See By Chloé and I’m drawn to that gold hardware on the zipper, remind me so much of their Chloé Nile bag. It comes in black as well but I think for Spring I prefer something lighter, so this camel colour is perfect for my everyday style, work well with pants and skirts.
Mules – have been on the IT list in last few seasons but they are still very HOT on trend. Some of you may find mules can be too laid back looking but if you choose a pair with pastel colour and soft velvet fabrics, they can still look feminine. And let’s talk about this pair from Joie, those cute crystal embellishments on top, make the mules so darn cute. Another great option will be these floral satin mules from Ted Baker.
Slingbacks -majority of us have an office job and always want to look professional but trendy at the same time. And complimenting the shoes that your coworkers are wearing can be the perfect ice breaker to start a meeting. Kate Spade Ollie Slingback with the cute bow accent for sure will get you a lot of compliments and did I say it comes in blush pink colour too?
And yes that rounds up my top 5 picks of favourite Spring shoes, last but not least I also want to share the shopping fun with you. I will give one lucky winner a $100 gift card to put towards your next purchase with Townshoes. Just tell me what kind of shoes you would like to get for Spring season and I will count your comment = 10 entries here!
